The System must be installed by a professional installer in accordance with the Siniat Drywall Manual, the specification documents issued by Siniat, CAD drawings, advice and all relevant and applicable construction standards and regulations.

Guidance for specification option:

  • Boarding Installation: All shaft side boards to be cut min. 25 mm shorter than floor to ceiling height or by deflection amount, whichever is greater and friction fitted inside receiving edges of CH-Studs and E-Studs with a bead of Siniat Intumescent Acoustic Sealant within all receiving edges of metal framework.
  • Horizontal Board Joints: Where partition height exceeds shaft side board length, reinforce horizontal board joints with Siniat CH-Stud noggins with a bead of Siniat Intumescent Acoustic Sealant within all receiving edges. Note, horizontal joints must be staggered by a minimum of 1 m between adjacent bays. 
  • Core Board Notes: A minimum of two 19 mm Siniat Fire Core Board baffles to be installed inside head track between studs and anchored into substrate, note deflection head detail may vary.

Where system height exceeds board height Siniat Flat Strap FS50/Rx to be fixed behind all outer layer horizontal joints to provide substrate for board fixing.

Sealing (joints and penetrations)

Siniat Intumescent Acoustic Sealant.

Guidance for specification option:

Apply continuous beads of Siniat Intumescent Acoustic Sealant around the perimeter of the framing or to the edge of outer layers of board, ensuring that all air-paths are sealed.

All penetrations should use supporting constructions detailed in the Siniat Drywall Manual unless superseded by specific test information. For combined, warrantied performance specify FSi fire-stopping products. For cPVC pipe sealing, use FSi Promat PYROPRO® HPE Sealant in place of Siniat Intumescent Acoustic Sealant.

Sealer coat

Apply 2 coats undiluted across the whole drylined surface by brush or roller to coverage rate as defined by current Siniat Drywall Manual.

Manufacturer guidance

EN Compliant max height is the lowest of cold state height and maximum fire state height as stated in associated classification report. By agreement between the project's client, designers, and appointed building control body, it may be possible to design based only on mechanical ‘cold state’ maximum height.
