Application
Suitable for:
- Sealing joints between glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) panels and roof sheets, trims and flashing in roofing and cladding, PVC-U, aluminium, steel, timber frame and door surrounds, and wall tiling.
- Capping and bedding of glass and insulating glass units in bead glazing systems.
- Many forms of expansion/ construction joints in buildings.
- Fully compatible with Hodgson’s Flexistrip and range of butyl strip sealants.
- Sealing joints in general industrial applications such as those found in heating and ventilation, sectional buildings etc.
- Sealing glazing plastics such as polycarbonate.
Description
A low modulus, silicone sealant. Conforming fully to the requirements of BS 5889 Type-A and ISO 11600 classification G-25-LM, it offers good performance across a wide variety of glazing, industrial and construction applications.
Features and benefits:
- Good adhesion to a wide variety of surfaces including un-plasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC-U), coated metals, brickwork, stone, polycarbonate, coated timber and glass.
- Compatible with all major European edge sealants for double glazed units.
- High movement accommodation.
- Suitable for use with laminated glass.
- Meets the requirements of EN 15651-1: F-EXT-INT-CC: Sealant for facade of interior and exterior application (intended for use in cold climates). EN 15651-2: G-CC: Sealant used for sealing glazing applications (intended for use in cold climates).
- Non-flammable.
- It has good adhesion to glass, timber, metals, brickwork, plastics and concrete and does not normally require a primer.
- Designed for the professional user.
- No slump.
- Nil staining on most surfaces.
