Application

For light steel framing in a 'warm frame' environment.

Description

Patented light gauge steel framing sections and profiles. All Sigmat profile sections are manufactured using hot-dipped galvanized steel, to BS EN 10143, in grades from S280 and S450 as required. They have a Z275 coating and are supplied self-finished.


Features and benefits:

  • Does not suffer from fungal or biological deterioration and is not susceptible to insect infestation.
  • Framing solution for up to 15 storeys.
  • Sigmat primary stud component up to 17.8% stronger than non-patented alternatives. 


All Sigmat panels are designed to include pre-formed door and window openings and inner face is ready for the direct application of plasterboard lining finishes.

NHBC and other housing warranty providers require a design life in excess of 60 years, and accept the use of light gauge steel construction. Light steel sections provide a design life in excess of 100 years, even in uninsulated roof constructions.
