Can be fitted both internally and externally. Primarily for use within high security domestic, commercial and office applications. Can also be used within bars, restaurants, and kiosks.


High security built-on roller shutter with solid aluminium slats, non-vented.

The shutter will lock automatically at the top when fully lowered. The bottom section of the shutter box is riveted after installation. The fixing screw-heads are rendered unusable and are concealed behind cover caps. The aluminium slats coil tightly into a range of compact boxes (137–250 mm), minimizing their visual impact.

Geared belt winder

For shutters between 15–25 kg. 1:3 ratio with removable handle for belt operated shutters.

Rod crank operation

For shutters up to 25 kg. Incorporates a geared rod crank handle 1500 mm long which hangs vertically.

Spring loaded

A counterbalance spring in the axle ensures controlled raising and lowering.

Swivel belt winder

For shutters up to 15 kg. The swivel winder coils the belt when it is pulled to open the shutter.

  • Slats: Double skin extruded aluminium. 38 mm high x 9 mm thick (8 kg/m²).
  • Shutter box: Roll formed aluminium in two sections (top and bottom boxes). Bottom box is removable for installation and maintenance, and is chamfered at 45°. Assembled on die cast aluminium end plates. Box size depends upon clear opening height.
  • Bottom lath: Extruded aluminium with rubber seal, optional reinforced angle.
  • Motor (electric variant only): 240 V AC tubular motor, supplied as standard with a 2 m cable. Complete with integral limit switches and thermal cut-out to prevent overheating

- Slats:

A finish must be selected for both the main body, and the bottom slat.

Guide rails:

Extruded aluminium with an integral box section for reinforcement and to facilitate fixing, with 5 mm pile brush seals for quiet and smooth operation. Available 45 x 22 mm, 60 x 42 mm or 70 x 27 mm.


- Electric:

Provision of a 13 A fused spur is required for installation. A manual override should be priced and ordered separately for shutters which are to be installed on exit doorways to permit operation in the event of a power failure.

- Rod crank operation:

Secures to a clip when not in use. The gear is installed in the box, the gear ratio varies with shutter weight.

- Spring loaded:

An espagnolette key lock or shoot bolts lock into the guide rails and are usually incorporated in the bottom slat. Final adjustment of the spring loading after installation is always required.

- Swivel belt winder:

The belt is 14 mm wide and grey in colour. External shutters are supplied with a guide tube to protect the belt through the building wall.
