S27 Patent Glazing System

The S27 System single or double glazed patent glazing is suitable for vertical or sloping applications, including extended rooflights and canopies. It is a glazing system with the structural stalk on the inside of the building. S27 is available with non-thermal or thermally assisted glazing bars. Glazing is by external pressure plates, with clip covers where the fixings require concealing.

The system provides a weathertight roof down to a pitch of 15°. It is compatible with SAS windows, SAS shopfronts/ entrances and SAS curtain wall for a total facade service.

Design, installation and glazing service is available through a nationwide network of installers.

Composition and manufacture:

  • Aluminium alloy: 6063, T6 to BS 1474: 1987.
  • Insulation materials: Rigid PVC.
  • Gasketry: PVC Nytrile to BS 3734 and BS 7412 Cat A.


  • Maximum bar spacing: 1200 mm.
  • Maximum height: To suit conditions.
