ROCKWOOL Acoustic RockFloor® is a high-density stone wool insulation designed to reduce noise transmission between concrete and framed separating floor constructions.
Application
For use in acoustic applications in intermediate and separating floors, to meet Building Regulations Approved Document E. Suitable for use in order to achieve Part E (Sound) of the Building Regulations in both timber and concrete separating floor constructions.
Description
ROCKWOOL Acoustic RockFloor® is a non-combustible, high-density stone wool insulation board with an open porous fibre structure which means it is especially effective at absorbing vibration, or impact-based sound. Euroclass A1 is non-combustible, water repellent and vapour permeable.
Features and benefits:
- High-density board offering impact noise reduction.

- RockFloor® boards can be used in conjunction with Flexi® to construct a compartment floor, providing one hour of fire resistance combined with acoustic isolation.
- High compressive resistance - able to withstand typical loads that arise in dwellings, offices, shops and similar areas.
- Minimizes thermal and acoustic bridging.
- Compatible with a wide range of installation methods.
- CE marked to BS EN 13162:2012+A1:2015.
