RG-80-20 AOV Hinged Flat Glass Smoke Vent Rooflight
Description

A flatglass automatic opening vent (AOV) rooflight manufactured to BS EN 12101-2 for heat and smoke ventilation.

Features and benefits:

  • Silicone jointed glazing for a flush outer surface.

  • Flatglass AOV Smoke Vents come in two standard sizes, which achieve an Aerodynamic Free Area (Afa) of 1.0 m² and 1.5 m².
  • Powered by two 24 V concealed folding arm actuators.
  • The EMB 7300 control panel supplied with electric lock, battery backup and 230 V transformer.
  • Thermally-broken aluminium frame improves thermal performance and prevents cold bridging, reducing the risk of condensation.
  • Good thermal performance, with total system U-values as low as 0.6 W/m²K achievable.
  • Quick and easy to install on-site.
  • Designed to be installed on roof pitches between 1 and 5°.
  • Maximum opening angle: 140°.
  • Non-fragile to ACR[M]:001 Class B and with laminated glass, Centre for Window and Cladding Technology (CWCT) TN92 class 2 (class 2 on 1 m² option only).
  • AA fire rated: AA designation (National Class) designation or Broof(t4) (European class).
  • Recommended pitch of 5° to help shed water. 5° max to retain the geometric free area.
  • Minimal framework: Daylight is maximized while the visible framework is minimized.
  • More daylight results in less artificial light, saving energy.
  • 15 year warranty.

Designed to standard loadings of 640 N/m² (snow) and 750 N/m² (wind) and in accordance with the following Standards:

  • Cavity: 16 mm argon filled with Swisspacer warm edge spacer silicone bonded for an ultraviolet resistant edge seal.
  • Inner: 6 mm glass with soft Low-E coating to cavity face.

- Laminated Inner:

  • Outer: 6 mm clear heat soak tested toughened glass with soft Low-E coating to cavity face.
  • Cavity: 18 or 20 mm argon filled with Swisspacer warm edge spacer silicone bonded for an ultraviolet resistant edge seal.
  • Inner: 6.8 or 9.5 mm laminated glass with PVB interlayer and polished edges (9.5 mm only available as a 1 m² Afa option).

- Additional requirements:
