Standard product features

Type 320 C thermostatic mixing valve incorporates a Radatherm service-free cartridge, check valves, filters and isolating ball valves and is supplied with 22 mm compression fittings.

Connections:

  • Inlet: ¾" female or 22 mm compression fittings (adaptors supplied).
  • Outlet: ¾" female.
  • Standard connections are hot-left, cold-right, outlet-top, when facing the control.

Operation:

The temperature control knob allows the user to select the required temperature within the range available. An integral temperature stop limits the maximum temperature to a pre-set level and can only be reset by an authorised person, (alternatively, the temperature knob can be locked in position after the desired temperature has been selected).

Flow control:

A separate flow control is required.

Temperature range:

  • Factory pre-set maximum outlet temperature: 45°C.
  • Minimum temperature differential, blend to either supply: 12°C.
  • Thermostatic temperature range: full cold to 70°C.
  • Optimum thermostatic temperature range: 30°C to 50°C.
  • Maximum hot water temperature: 85°C.

Note: The thermostat can accept temporary temperature excursions above 85°C without damage, however, operation of the mixing valve at such elevated temperatures is not recommended. For reasons of general safety, hot water storage supply temperatures should ideally be maintained at between 60°C and 65°C where serving ablutionary requirements.

Pressure/ Flow rates:

  • Minimum dynamic pressure: 0.1 bar.
  • Maximum dynamic pressure: 5.0 bar.
  • Maximum supply static pressure: 10 bar.
  • Minimum flow rate: 6 litres/minute at mid blend, with nominally equal supply pressures.
  • Maximum flow rate: 2 metres/second.
  • Maximum pressure loss ratio: 10:1 (in favour of either supply during flow).

Body - DZR brass chrome plated.
