QIG Intumescent Air Transfer Grille

Range of intumescent air transfer grilles that are suitable for use in door sets and compartment walls for up to 60 minutes' fire resistance.

Constructed from 0.65 mm-thick Zintec mild steel containing high performance graphite-based intumescent material which reacts under the influence of heat to form a carbonaceous char, which provides an effective insulation plug thus preventing smoke and fire passing through to the adjoining compartment.

Standards and approvals:

Tested by Warrington Fire Research Centre according to BS 476 Parts 20 & 22: 1987. Tests show that a 600 x 600 mm grille can provide fire resistance of up to 60 minutes.
