Offers a solution to the increasing requirement for thermal upgrading of semi-exposed concrete decks both in the conversion and refurbishment of existing and new building constructions.

Technical characteristics:

• Density: Calcium silicate: 1300 kg/m³; Phenolic: 50 kg/m³.

• Mass: Calcium silicate: 8.3 kg/m² (6 mm thick); Phenolic: 4 kg/m² (80 mm thick).

• Flexural strength: 10.5 N/mm² (calcium silicate).

• Moisture movement: ≤0.15% (calcium silicate, 65% RH to saturated).

• Thermal conductivity: Calcium silicate: 0.35 W/m·K; Phenolic: 0.02 W/m·K (˃45 mm thick).

• Water vapour resistance (to BS 4370): ˃100 MNs/g (phenolic).

• Compressive strength ˃100 kN/m² (phenolic).

Application:

Designed to be fixed to the underside of floors (generally concrete) to achieve specific U-values required. The boards can be fitted direct to the underside of a floor or to a supporting framework where the surface is uneven or otherwise unsuitable for direct fix methods. It can also be used to upgrade the thermal performance of masonry walls.
