PROMASEAL® Pipe Wrap
Fire resistant pipe wrap for use with a variety of plastic pipes, and to close off various types of insulation around metal pipes.
Application
Designed for use around combustible pipework up to 160 mm diameter, such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC) drain pipes, and can also be used around groups of cables.
Description
Fire resistant pipe wrap for use with a variety of plastic pipes, and to close off various types of insulation around metal pipes. Designed to prevent the passage of smoke, toxic gases and fire through gaps in compartment walls and floors caused by the collapse and/ or melting of combustible services in the event of fire.
Features and benefits:
- Fire resistance testing in flexible walls, rigid floors and installed in PROMASEAL Fire Barrier Batt.
- “Wrap on a roll” – suitable for use with a wide range of pipe sizes.
- Halogen free, contains no asbestos, ceramic or mineral fibres.
- UL-EU approval.
- The sleeves are non-corrosive and rot and vermin resistant.
- No mechanical fixings are required - the sleeves are held in position using supplied adhesive tape and can be grouted in position using PROMASEAL® Fire Compound.
- Tested using the procedures and criteria of BS 476-20: 1987, for up to 240 minutes' fire resistance.
