Pro-glide Series 5 Balustrade Cantilever Gate

A cantilever sliding gate operates by using an extended section of gate to counterbalance the actual gate which spans the required opening. So the gate would glide along the opening without coming into direct contact with the ground.

Sliding gates are generally more secure than swing gates as they are retained within a rigid structure and are retained at the closed end making them much more difficult to force open and in particular less likely to be breached by vehicle impact. In addition, the more vulnerable points of a sliding gate are less accessible compared to a hinged gate.
