Description

High performance tile backer boards manufactured from high density polystyrene which is coated with a specially formulated reinforced cementitious coating that provides a hard wearing robust waterproof surface perfect for the application of tiles, plaster and synthetic render. Its rigidity and stability mean that a 10 mm thick board is sufficient to replace the more conventional 15–18 mm thick plywood required as per BS 5385-3:2007 to overlay timber floors prior to tiling. The 10 mm board will support a maximum weight of 85 kg/m² when used on walls.

Features and benefits:

  • Energy saving.
  • Class 0 fire rating for surface spread of flame to BS 476-6 and 7.
  • Tile ready surface.
  • Suitable for use with underfloor heating.
  • High compressive strength and impact resistance.
  • Excellent thermal insulation.
