PPG SigmaDur 520

Two component high build semi-gloss aliphatic acrylic polyurethane topcoat.

• Easy application by roller and airless spray.

• Excellent resistance to atmospheric exposure conditions.

• Good colour and gloss retention.

• Non-chalking, non-yellowing.

• Tough and abrasion resistant.

• Resistant to splash of mineral and vegetable oils, paraffin, aliphatic petroleum products and mild chemicals.

Preparation:

• Suitable for application over PPG Protective & Marine Coatings primers and intermediate coats; SigmaCover 280, SigmaFast 278, SigmaZinc 109 HS, SigmaCover 435 and SigmaCover 456.

• Product is supplied as two packs in correct proportions for use.

• Air temperature 0–40ºC. Surface temperature -5–40ºC. Surface temperature must exceed dew point by 3ºC.

• Drying times vary with environmental conditions. Indicative: At 20ºC a coat can be touch dry in one hour, dry to handle in six hours. Consult manufacturer.

• Application: Airless or conventional spray, brush or roller. Brush or roller application may require additional coats.

• Check coating thickness using non destructive dry film thickness metre, e.g. Mikrotest or Elcometer.

Overcoating:

• More than one coat may be required for full opacity.

• Recoatable after six hours at 20ºC
