Description

Powershield Personnel Doors have been developed by our in-house design team to provide customers with doors and frames that offer high performance, exceptional quality and longer life expectancy. Our attention to detail in both customer service and product quality has gained us a reputation as a market leader in hinged steel doors.

Acoustic variant (37 dB sound reduction):

  • Additional to the Personnel Doorset:
  • Doorset fitted with acoustic frame seals.
  • Doorleaf fitted with integral drop seal.

Standard product features

Door leaf:

  • Two skins of 1.2 mm thick steel. Other thicknesses and stainless steel material available.
  • 44 mm thick door leaf with no face seams.
  • Doors are stiffened, insulated and sound deadened with pre-expanded, small cell honeycomb core material and laminated under pressure to the face skins.
  • Face skins are connected by a continuous 'deep pocket' interlocking edge lock seam for added strength and durability.
  • 1.6 mm steel end channels projection welded to the top and bottom of the door.
  • Door edges are bevelled for ease of operation and close fit.
  • Doors are morticed, reinforced, drilled and tapped for three templated hinges.
  • For double doors: An astragal is folded into the leading edge of one leaf to ensure a totally sealed unit.

Door frame:

  • Manufactured from 1.5 mm steel with single, double rebate or wraparound profile.
  • Supplied in either knock down or fully welded smooth finish.
  • Frames are morticed, reinforced, drilled and tapped for hinges and strikes.
  • Frames are provided with four fixings per jamb, built-in adjustment and complete with cover caps.
