Description

Firestop panel system with an ablative coating and intumescent sealant. Tested in accordance with BS 476-20, BS 476-22 and BS EN 1366-3.

Applications:

  • Cold smoke seal.
  • Improved air tightness.
  • Improves acoustic performance (up to Rw of 65 dB).

Components:

  • PFC Corofil Coated Panel (1200 x 600 x 50 mm), 160 kg/m³ minimum density.
  • PFC Corofil Acoustic Intumescent Sealant.
  • PFC Corofil Ablative Coating.

Standard product features

Material:

50 mm-thick mineral fibre batt coated on both faces with a 1 mm-thick (nominal) white ablative coating.

Fire rating (to BS 476-20: 1987, BS 476-22:1987 and BS EN 1366-3: 2009):

Up to four hours (240 minutes) dependent on wall construction and services, consult manufacturer's literature for more information.

Acoustic rating:

Weighted sound reduction index (Rw) of up to 65 dB.

Approved cables:

  • Multi-core ‘power’ cables including copper conductors and sheathed with polyvinyl chloride (PVC), with or without steel wire armour. 23 mm maximum outside diameter.
  • Multi core ‘twin and earth’ cables, including copper conductors and sheathed with polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
  • Cat 5 data cables.
