Description

A flexible fibre reinforced cement-based waterproofing membrane suitable for waterproofing balconies, basements and swimming pools. It is suitable for use on concrete structures, render and cementitious screeds. It may be used to protect render or concrete with shrinkage cracks to block penetration of water and other contaminants in the atmosphere. The product requires mixing with water to produce a paste that may be either trowelled or brush applied.

Application method Norcros One Part Waterproofing Sealing Slurry can be brushed or trowelled onto the substrate. A minimum of 2 coats are required. At junctions between boards, internal/external corners and junctions between walls and floors/upstands etc. Norcros Waterproofing Tape should be sandwiched between 2 coats of the sealing slurry. Allow to dry. Do not use below 5°C.	-
Preparation Concrete/ power floated concrete. Must be a minimum of 6 weeks old. Cement: sand screed. Must be a minimum 21 days old. Cement: sand render. Must be at least 14 days old (21 days in total immersion areas). Blockwork must be at least 6 weeks old before render coat is applied. Heated Floors. After tiling the heating should not be switched on for 14 days after which the temperature should be raised at a rate of 5°C per day to operating temperature. Undertile heating cables and mats should be encapsulated in a bed of a suitable Norcros Levelling Compound. Vinyl tiles/ asphalt. Must be sound & in good condition. Prime with undiluted Prime Bond & allow to dry. Existing Glazed Tiles. Must be well fixed and able to support the additional weight of tiling. Thoroughly clean and degrease & allow to dry. WBP/ Marine Grade Plywood (Minimum15 mm to 18 mm Thick). Boards must be a suitable grade to receive a tiled finish and be screw fixed at maximum 300mm centres using countersunk screws. Additional noggings should be inserted where necessary. The back, face and edges of the plywood should be sealed with neat Norcros Prime Bond.	-
