Nu-Flame High-Build Metal Primer:

A high-build quick drying corrosion resistant metal primer, suitable for shop or site painting and compatible Nu-Flame and most other intumescent paint systems, epoxy and conventional systems.

  • Volume Solids: 50%.
  • Coverage Rate: 6 m²/litre.
  • Dry Film Thickness: 75 microns.
  • Drying time: Touch dry 30 minutes, Hard dry 1 hour. Overcoating 2 hours.
  • Minimum temperature 6°C. Maximum Relative Humidity 80%. Minimum steel temperature 3°C above Dew Point.

Nu-Flame S Base Coat:

A thin film, solvent-based decorative intumescent paint system providing fire resistance of up to 2 hours with a two coat application

  • Colour: White.
  • Volume Solids: 65-75%.
  • Coverage Rate: Depending on fire rating required, contact Hydron Technical department for details.
  • Drying time: Brush/Roller - Touch dry 2 hours. Re-coat 4 hours. Spray - Touch dry 4 hours. Re-coat 10 hours.
  • Allow to dry for minimum 48 hours before overcoating with Nu-Flame Steel Top Coat.
  • Minimum temperature 6°C. Maximum Relative Humidity 80%. Minimum steel temperature 3°C above Dew Point.
  • Maximum Thickness per coat: Brush – 600 microns DFT.
  • Maximum Thickness per coat: Spray – 1800 microns DFT.

Nu-Flame W Base Coat:

A thin film, water-based decorative intumescent paint system providing fire resistance of up to 2 hours with a two coat application.

  • Colour: White.
  • Volume Solids: 65-75%.

Nu-Flame Steel Top Coat:

A hard, single coat, high-build, flame retardant anti-corrosion coating, resistant to physical damage, chemicals and weathering. In severe exposure or environmental locations apply a coat of semi-gloss followed by a coat of full gloss top coat. The product is based on a high durability resin, antimony oxide flame retardant agents, high opacity and corrosion resistant pigments.

  • Volume Solids: 45-50%.
  • Coverage Rate: 7 m²/litre.
  • Recommended film thickness: 70 microns dry / 150 microns wet.
  • Minimum temperature 6°C. Maximum Relative Humidity 80%. Minimum steel temperature 3°C above Dew Point.

Nu-Flame High-Build Metal Primer:

  • Available in Grey, White and Red.
  • Application: Brush/ Roller/ Airless Spray – spray using 0.013-0.017" tip.

Nu-Flame S Base Coat

  • Application: Brush/ Roller/ Airless Spray.

Nu-Flame W Base Coat:

  • Application: Brush/ Roller/ Airless Spray.

Nu-Flame Steel Top Coat:

  • Colour: Gloss and Semi-Gloss in BS 4800 and RAL shades.
  • Application: Brush/ Roller/ Airless Spray.
