NedZink Zinc Traditional Fully Supported Batten Roll Roof And Facade Cladding - Traditional Roof And Facade Cladding

The zinc batten roll roof and cladding system is suitable for both large and small roofs with a pitch of the roof of at least 3°, preferably >7°, and as a facade cladding. Also suitable as a dormer roof covering and dormer facade covering.

Material - A1 Fire rated.

The standard NedZink roll cap roof consists of zinc bays with upstands on both sides and separated by trapezoidal wood rolls. Zinc caps are used to cover these wood rolls. This gives the roll cap its characteristic and robust appearance. The rolls have a trapezoidal cross section with a width of 40–50 mm and a height of 60 mm. The watertight finishing between roof bays and wood rolls is obtained by a covering profile (roll capping). NedZink produces titanium zinc in accordance with EN 988, an alloy based on electrolytically refined zinc with a minimum purity of 99.995% Zn (Z1 in accordance with EN 1179) with small additions of the alloy elements copper, titanium and aluminium. Roofing or facade cladding in NedZink titanium zinc protects a building for up to 70 or even 150 years. Substructure:

• The product of must be fully supported by unplaned, untreated wooden boards at least 23 mm thick, not tongue and grooved, with gaps of at least 5 mm.
• The bays are secured to the substructure by means of fixed and sliding clips.

• Ventilated 18 mm-thick weather and boil proof (WPB) plywood.
• Ventilated oriented strand board OSB3.
• Hard metal board.
• Composite panel.
• Rigid insulation.
• Metal trapezoidal deck (cladding only).

Underlay:

• Cladding: ISO-Mat Pro®.
• Roofing: ISO-Mat Metal®.

Clips:

TS 5 x 20 x 50 stainless steel fixing strip.

Technical characteristics of base material:

• Vickers hardness (HV3): 40 (minimum).
• Folding test: No fractures on the fold, no cracks, relative tensile strength D >0.7 x original tensile strength.
• Permanent stretch in creep test: 0.1% (maximum).
• Edgewise bow: 1.5 mm/m (maximum).
• Flatness-corrugation: 2 mm (maximum).
• Recrystallisation temperature: >300°C.
