Application

  • Suitable for external use only.
  • For bedding and external fronting of single glass into primed steel, timber frames, sealed hardwood and concrete that will subsequently be painted.
  • For external putty fronting.

For painting as soon as the putty has formed a skin firm enough. Apply the first coat within 7-21 days. The final coat should be applied within 28 days.

Setting compound formulated for use in the glazing of steel frames.

Technical characteristics:

  • Adhesion: Good (to primed steel and timber, sealed hardwood and concrete).
  • Base technology: Drying oil.
  • Curing system: Sets initially by loss of volatile then react with oxygen in the presence of moisture.
  • Mould Resistance: Good.
  • Movement accommodation: <5%.
  • Service temperature range: -20°C to +70°C.
  • Application temperature range: 5–30°C.
  • Staining: Can cause staining of porous surfaces if not previously sealed.
  • Ultraviolet (UV) resistance: Good.
