A cold applied rubberised bitumen emulsion.
A cold applied rubberised bitumen emulsion compatible with a variety of commonly used building materials including concrete and sand/cement constructions, brick, blockwork, mastic asphalt, felt, corrugated iron and slates. Liquapruf is dark brown in colour, which dries to form a black, flexible coating, odour and taint free. The membrane is suitable for use on floors and walls and for use as a membrane in sandwich constructions in accordance with BS 8102.
Preparation:
The application surface should be smooth and free from dust, dirt and grease. Holes or cracks should be repaired with suitable filler. Absorbent surfaces must be primed using one part Liquapruf with six parts water. Liquapruf may be applied by soft bristle, with a broom or brush. Two coats are recommended for most applications, however in severe damp conditions a three-coat application may be necessary; refer to Icopal Ltd’s Technical Department for details.
