For fire-rated systems, two continuous 6 mm beads of Knauf Intumescent and Acoustic Mastic should be installed underneath the floor track, between the head track and board fillet(s) and between the board fillet(s) and the soffit.

A bead of Knauf Intumescent and Acoustic Mastic is also required to the board perimeter edges to achieve a fire- and acoustic-rated seal to the structure.
