Thermal and acoustic insulation for pipe sections.
Foil faced pipe insulation is designed to provide thermal and acoustic insulation of copper and steel pipework. These are strong, lightweight pre-formed ‘snap on’ sections, manufactured from up to 80% recycled content.
Isover CLIMPIPE Section Alu2 Sections provide a factory applied reinforced aluminium foil covering, incorporating a self adhesive overlap, providing an effective vapour control finish.

The base mineral wool of Isover duct products has a Euroclass A2 fire rating when classified in accordance with BS EN 13501-1. Additionally, the factory applied aluminium foil facing meets the highest standards required by BS 476-6: Fire Propagation and BS 476-7: Surface Spread of Flame. The foil is therefore rated Class O to the Building Regulations.
Smoke and Toxicity - Achieves the criteria for smoke and toxicity as given in the IMO Resolutions MSC 61 (67).
The insulation can be used on pipework with continuous service temperatures of 230°C and over. Where temperatures exceed 230°C, consult with Saint-Gobain Isover Technical Department for design advice.

Immediately following manufacture, the leachable ion content of Isover glass mineral wool pipe insulation falls within the 'Acceptable Analysis' area of the 'Acceptability of Insulation' graph given in ASTM C795, tested in accordance with ASTM C871-04. Will not accelerate corrosion with all copper, steel and aluminium plant and equipment
