IKO Glass Fibre Tissue
Application

Used as the separating membrane for use beneath mastic asphalt flooring, paving and certain roofing applications.

Description

Glass fibre underlay which allows a free lateral passage for hot air and moisture vapour released by the substrate during the application of the hot mastic asphalt. It also acts as a long-term vapour release layer.

It is loose laid with minimum of 50 mm laps directly above the substrate. On substrates such as over backgrounds that can be considered to be at risk of bleeding through, two layers of IKO Glass Fibre Tissue can be laid so as to isolate the problem.
