Acoustic joist strip.
Suitable for use on top of joisted construction and under timber structural floors.
Joist strips designed as an economical acoustic layer to be used on top of joisted construction and under timber structural floors. The strip is a thin solution that is simply stapled to the top of the joists to reduce impact sound transmission through timber internal floors.
When used in conjunction with Hush Slab 100 between the joists and the correct plasterboard lining, it complies with the internal airborne floor regulations of 40 dB (Rw) stated in Building Regulations Approved Document E (E&W), Technical Handbook G (Northern Ireland) and 43 dB (Rw) stated in Technical Handbook Section 5 (Scotland).
