Description

A fully developed economical sound insulation system between separating floors. Timber joist floors can be acoustically upgraded using the HD1031 Hush Acoustics Cradle System.

Extensively used in sectors including schools, colleges and universities, HD1031 Hush Cradle System MF is also an ideal solution for domestic and residential use. Due to the nature of its design, the system works extremely well in large industrial change of use conversions with uneven surfaces too.

It is a market-leading sound insulation system which is tested as a complete system. It fully complies with the UK Building Regulations covering sound transmission - Approved Document E (England & Wales), Part G (Northern Ireland) and Section 5 (Scotland). And it also offers fire assurance too, with a 1 hour fire resistance rating at ceiling level.

The HD1031 Hush Cradle System is creating using a number of high quality Hush Acoustics insulating materials which are combined in an innovative way to address impact and airborne sound transmission.

Installation process:

  • Lay 18mm chipboard, with all T&G joints glued using Hush-Bond and sealed to all perimeters using Hush-Seal 20, over 47mm x 50mm timber battens, supported by Hush-Cradles at 450mm centres and height adjusted.
  • Fit Hush-Slab 75 between Hush-Cradle and batten runs, on top of existing 22mm floorboards.
  • Install the Hush MF ceiling system suspended from underside of joists creating 300mm void.
  • Attach 2 layers of 12.5mm Gyproc Fireline plasterboard secured to the MF ceiling hangers with Hush-Slab 100 sound absorber fitted in between over back of ceiling.
