Application

For combination installations on roof pitches between 15–90°.

Description

Features and benefits:

  • Top-hung window opens to any position up to 45° to allow panoramic, uninterrupted views.
  • Meets requirements for emergency escape.
  • Additional fixed elements beneath offer a great view while standing and when seated.
  • Fixed elements are installed in combination side by side to create panoramic views. The fixed windows are installed directly below the roof windows.
  • Combination flashings are modular meaning there is no limit to the overall size of the group, but the minimum distance between windows side by side is 100 mm.
  • Ventilation, exterior maintenance and cleaning is all via the roof window.
  • The window is opened by means of a handle placed at the bottom sash.
  • Sash can also be rotated 180° and locks in place for the ease of cleaning of the outer pane.

Configuration:

The number of roof windows must be the same as the number of lower fixed windows; roof windows and lower fixed windows must be the same width.


Flashing:

Flashings are available in materials and finishes to match roof window cladding.

  • Code EKL + ETL: For standard installation into slate and flat roofing materials up to 8 mm thick. Not suitable for interlocking slate; Roof pitches from 15–90°.
  • Code EKW + ETW: For standard installation into flat and profiled roofing materials up to 120 mm thick, including profiled sheeting and interlocking slates. Roof pitches from 15–90°.
  • Code EKN + ETN: For recessed installation into slate and flat roofing materials up to 8 mm thick. Not suitable for interlocking slate; Roof pitches from 15–90°.
  • Code EKJ + ETJ: For recessed installation into flat and profiled roof materials up to 90 mm thick, including profiled sheeting and interlocking slates; Roof pitches from 20–90°.
  • Code ZWC: Window profile set to be used in conjunction with on-site weathering for non-standard roofing materials. For further details please contact VELUX.
