Description

Centre pivot roof window with handle placed at the bottom, top-safe anti-burglary system and semi automatic air vent.


Features and benefits:

  • V40P air inlet gives airflow of 20–49 m³/ hour. Sash rotates through 180º to allow for cleaning.
  • Manufactured in vacuum impregnated close grained redwood.
  • Available in finishes that include natural pine, white acrylic lacquer and white polyurethane lacquer which is recommended for use in areas of high humidity.
  • Installed U value of 1.2 W/m²K overall (1.0 W/m²K glass).
  • Also available in triple glazed with an installed U value of 0.97 W/m²K overall (0.5 W/m²K glass).
  • Standard internal frames and sashes are finished as detailed above, but can be finished with lacquer from the Lazurite range which includes afromosia, light oak, mahogany, teak or walnut.
  • Alternatively they can be painted using most solid colours from the RAL spectrum.

Flashing:

Flashings are coded for applications as follows:

– First letter:

E: Single window flashing.

– Second letter:

Denotes the compatible roof covering.

  • E: For Zinc or similar standing seam roof covering.
  • H: For high profile interlocking roof coverings up to 90 mm deep.
  • L: For non interlocking slates up to 8 mm thick.
  • P: For non interlocking plain peg tiles.
  • S: For thin sheet/roofing felt/flat metal sheet roof covering.
  • Z: For profiled interlocking roof covering up to 45 mm deep.

– Third letter:

Denotes the position of the roof window in relation to the roof.

  • A: Roof window up to 10° out of plane of roof. 15–90° pitches. A special application for use in low pitch roofs below 15° (consult Fakro Technical for further details).
  • J: Recessed style applications sitting the window 30 mm below the standard plane. 20–90° pitches.
  • N: Placing the window 30 mm above standard plane to accommodate high profile roof covering 15–90° pitches.
  • T: Insulated flashing for roof windows. 15–90° pitches.
  • V: Placing the window at standard plane. 15–90° pitches, except for EPV which is limited to 25–90° pitches.
  • W: For flat roof applications 15° out of plane of roof: flat roofs 0–15° pitches.


Specialized flashings are available for horizontal and vertical window groups and combinations as well as windows installed on either side of the ridge. Consult Fakro for guidance and availability.
