Single skin steel roller shutter. Withstands a fire for one hour.
Application
High security commercial and service sites, up to 50 m², with one hour fire rating to stop spread of fire through an opening. Suitable uses include:
- Warehouses.
- Factories.
- Loading bays.
- Other areas where a high level of security is required as well as a high degree of insulation.
- Canteens.
- Restaurants.
Description
The fire shutters have been tested by Exova under BS EN 1634-1 test conditions and assessed to BS EN 476-22. In the event of a fire alarm, the shutter can automatically descend by operation of the motor with the use of one of the fire interfaces. Various type of interface are available depending on budget and requirement. The fire shutters can span areas up to 50 m² and reach a width of 12 m. Fire shutters should come with a panel which connects to the fire alarm in order to drive the roller shutter down when the alarm goes off to compartmentalise the outbreak.
