Performance:

• Radiation shielding performance tested by RRPPS (Radiation Protection Service within the Imaging and Medical Physics Group of University Hospital Birmingham NHS Trust).

• Mechanical test severe duty: DD171.

• Mechanical test severe duty Class 4: EN 947, EN 948, EN 949 and EN 950 (classified to BS EN 1192).

• Mechanical test severe duty Class 8: BS EN 1191 (with classification according to EN 12400): completed 1 000 000 cycles (dependent on configuration).

• Fire resistance test to BS 476-22 by Chiltern International Fire Ltd.

Glazing:

Radiation proof vision panels are available with a 500 x 200 mm aperture, fixed with hardwood splayed and rebated factory-fitted cloak bead and all necessary fire seals when required.

Over panels:

One piece over panels not greater than the width of door leaf/ leaves are permitted in all configurations with a separating transom. A rebated or square interface between door leaf and over panel is also permitted without transom. Maximum allowed heights are:

• Single leaves: 2000 mm.

• Double leaves: 1500 mm.

Lipping:

All doors will be supplied with hardwood lippings, concealed or exposed and square or rebated.

Frame and architraves:

Supplied with a 640 kg/m³ density or greater hardwood of minimum section 122 x 64 mm after rebating or profiling.

Ironmongery:

Doorsets are machined for 4 Cooke Brothers Loadmaster 7935 stainless steel hinges.
