Door leaves are constructed from 64 mm high performance timber based composite core with non- combustible mineral fibre insulation sub facings and is encapsulated by high quality hardwood stiles and rails faced with MDF, plywood or chipboard. Can be partnered with Fields Wall Panelling for a fully coordinated design.

Glazing: Factory glazed when specified using clear laminated fire resisting glass in conjunction with intumescent materials. The glass is retained using a purpose-made, screw-fixed hardwood splayed and rebated cloak type glazing beads. The maximum permitted glazed area per leaf must not exceed 0.4 m² throughout the configuration range with a maximum of 0.36 m² for any single aperture. Aperture shape is unrestricted and may be in multiple or single paned form providing glazing is not less than 140 mm from the door leaf’s vertical edges, 200 mm to the head and bottom of the leaf and no less than 100 mm between apertures. Frame and architraves: Supplied with a 640 kg/m³ density or greater hardwood of minimum section 90 x 45 mm after rebating or profiling. A 15 mm planted or rebated stop will be incorporated for single acting configurations. Over panels: One piece over panels not greater than the width of door leaf/ leaves are permitted in all configurations with a separating transom. A rebated or square interface between door leaf and over panel is also permitted without transom. Maximum allowed heights are:
Lipping: All doors will be supplied with hardwood lippings, concealed or exposed and square, rounded or rebated. Ironmongery: Doorsets are machined for factory supplied hinges. Machining can also be carried out for other items of ironmongery where fire resistance of the assembly is not compromised in any way. |
