Product Options

Performance:

  • Tested to BS 476-22 at Chiltern International Fire Limited (test reports RF98041 and RF00120 refer).
  • The tested configuration was a single acting pair of overall door size 2100 x 1800 mm and the door set achieved 135 minutes integrity during the test.

Glazing:

Factory glazed when specified using clear laminated fire resisting glass in conjunction with intumescent materials. The glass is retained using a purpose-made, screw-fixed hardwood splayed and rebated cloak type glazing beads. The maximum permitted area of the door leaf that may be removed for glazing is 0.30 m² throughout the configurations range. Aperture shape is unrestricted and may be in multiple or single paned form providing glazing is not less than 135 mm from the door leaf’s vertical edges, 200 mm to the head and bottom of the leaf and no less than 100 mm between apertures.

Frame and architraves:

Hardwood frames with veneered non-combustible facing of minimum density 650 kg/m³ and overall minimum section 100 x 44 mm with non-combustible sub-facings. A 16 mm planted stop will be incorporated for single acting configurations.

Over panels:

One piece over panels not greater than the width of door leaf/ leaves are permitted in all configurations with a separating transom. A rebated or square interface between door leaf and over panel is also permitted without transom. Maximum allowed heights are:

  • Single leaves: 2000 mm.
  • Double leaves: 1500 mm.

Lipping:

All doors will be supplied with hardwood lippings, concealed or exposed and square, rounded or rebated.

Ironmongery:

Doorsets are machined for factory supplied hinges. Machining can also be carried out for other items of ironmongery where fire resistance of the assembly is not compromised in any way.
