Description

A modular range of floating floor boards for use on solid or timber floors. It is designed to provide improved airborne and impact acoustic insulation as well as greater thermal insulation.

The panels consist of two Fermacell gypsum-fibreboards glued and stapled face to face, staggered 50 mm in two directions to create a rebate along all edges. This ensures a firm joint between panels, with a high resistance to point loads, even along the joints.

- 2E11:

20 mm thick overall comprising two 10 mm Fermacell boards.

- 2E13 and 2E14:

  • Pre-laminated with thermal insulation. Can be laid over an existing flat, structural floor.
  • Used as a replacement for wet screed and insulation.

- 2E13:

40 mm thick overall comprising two 10 mm Fermacell boards plus 20 mm high resistance polystyrene foam.

- 2E14:

50 mm thick overall comprising two 10 mm Fermacell boards plus 30 mm high resistance polystyrene foam.

- 2E22:

  • 25 mm thick overall comprising two 12.5 mm Fermacell boards.
  • Because Fermacell has a much lower thermal mass than concrete, the response time of the heating system is much quicker; when the heating system is turned down (or off) there is no delay.
  • Can be used with warm water underfloor heating systems that use tracked insulation, i.e. the board is fully supported across the whole floor area.
  • Combines the heat transfer benefits of a wet screed system with the speed of installation and flexibility of wood based board systems, such as particleboard.
  • Fermacell is not an insulator, and so can make UFH systems more efficient (the pipe temperature can be up to 5º lower, saving energy and money).

- 2E31:

  • Can also be used to provide constructions compliant with Building Regulations (E&W), Approved Document E, Robust Details BB93 and HTM2045.
  • Can be used to upgrade substandard floor systems to comply with Building Regulations.
  • Used either alone or in conjunction with acoustic honeycomb system.

- 2E31:

30 mm thick overall comprising two 10 mm Fermacell boards plus 10 mm wood fibre insulating slab.

- Fermacell Powerpanel TE H2O Flooring Element:

25 mm thick overall comprising two 12.5 mm Powerpanel H2O boards for use in wet-rooms, showers and similar areas.
