Application

Fabreeka pad can be used in applications where:

  • Vibration or acoustic control within building structure, foundation or at the disturbance such as HVAC.
  • A load bearing pad and thermal break/thermal insulation is required.
  • Uneven or textured surfaces exist (i.e. concrete to concrete or concrete to steel columns).
  • To account for structural expansion at movement joints of buildings or structures.

Fabreeka pad is not recommended for structural moment connections, such as balconies and canopies.

Description

Fabreeka® resilient laminated fabric pad is a scientifically designed and manufactured material composed of layers of tightly twisted, closely woven lightweight duck. Each layer is impregnated with an elastomeric compound containing mould and mildew inhibiting agents. The properties of Fabreeka are exceptionally suited for the reduction of impact shock, vibration and structure-borne noise.

Features and benefits:

  • Accommodates compressive loads up to 10,000 psi.
  • Creep is limited to approximately 5% of the original pad thickness.
  • Has a relatively high damping rate of 14% of critical.
  • Impermeable to most oils and the effects of steam, water, mildew and brine.
  • Effective temperature range is -55°C to + 95°C.
