Description

Balustrade system capable of using varying glass thicknesses from 12–21.52 mm toughened and laminated glass. Top-fixed, in either standard top-mounted or 'F' profile options. Fascia-mounted in either standard fascia-mounted profile or 'Y' channel (hole centres dependent on the structure and required loading performance).

Handrails are available in related stainless steel or wood, which can sit directly on the top of the glass panels using a rubber insert. A number of diameters and profiles are available in different grades. The system is also available with off-set handrails which are fixed through holes in the glass.

The system has been designed to complement the existing range of Q-railing's high-quality architectural fittings.

Features and benefits:

  • Fewer anchors required, and no need for countersunk anchors.
  • Glass panels adjustable in every direction up to 10 mm – from inside the balustrade.
  • Five base shoes available (two top-mount, three fascia-mount).
  • Q-lights Linear Light LED strips and cladding available for the standard top-mount base shoe.
  • Connection pins included – for easy alignment and connection of individual base shoe units.
  • Integrated water drainage.
  • No bolts, screw tightening, scaffolding or special tools required.
  • Design criteria 0.36, 0.74 and 1.5 kN/m.
  • Aluminium base channel for fixing glass (2500 or 5000 mm-long) with various rubber glazing seal options for fixed or adjustable applications.
  • Choice of handrails, including wooden (beech, oak lacquered, P11 stained and lacquered), square, rectangular, circular or elliptical in stainless steel grades 1.4301 (304) or 1.4401 (316), with options for satin or mirror polished surface finish.
  • Glass infill available in different thicknesses, varying from 12–21.52 mm. All glass is bespoke to each specific project.

All cap rails have rubber gaskets to suit extrusion width, which varies in accordance with the thickness of the glass. All cap rails have pre-made accessories, including 90 degree corner, adjustable angles and in-line connectors, which are compatible with Q-railing fittings.
