A waterproofing system for roofs, based on water-dispersed acrylic resins with plastified styrene acrylic resin binders.
The Dacfill system is designed to have 350% elasticity, is 100% waterproof, vapour permeable and provides excellent resistance against extreme variations in temperature, atmospheric pollution and UV rays.
Dacfill dries to an abrasion resistant, rubber-like coating without joints or seams, is non-flammable and self-extinguishing. It Conforms to BS 476-3: 1958. It is designed for use over asbestos and cement fibre, concrete, hard PVC, polyester, metal roofing, bituminous materials, zinc, galvanized steel, copper, lead and aluminium. It is not for use on tar, soft PVC or bituminous materials less than 1 year old.
Preparation:
Clean substrate with water under high pressure (200 bars), and dry. Fill all joints with Rust-Oleum Elastofill, bridging active gaps with Dacfill Bridging Fleece or Overbridging Mesh.

Reinforcement: Dacfill Fleece (polyester fibres woven in hexagonal meshes) embedded in the first coat of Dacfill is recommended on roofs with pitches between 1° and 5° or where movement of the substrate is to be expected. Coating colour: A range of six standard colours. For other colours please contact Rust-Oleum UK Ltd. Coating protection: For applications where standing stagnating water is possible or when the Dacfill coat has to be protected against pollution (e.g. Dacfill white), an application of Coating PRT (6–8 m²/litre) is recommended. |
