Metal car park joint covers for use over large joints in areas with vehicular access.
Application
All metal expansion joint covers for use over large car park floor joints.
Description
A heavy duty, seismic cover for large expansion joints of up to 250 mm. The specially designed damper system allows the central cover plate to move freely and prevents the cover plate from ‘flapping’ noisily under dynamic traffic loads. Supplied with a high density reinforced polyethylene moisture barrier as standard.
Features and benefits:
- Recess mounted all metal floor joint covers.
- Designed to allow for vertical displacement of the adjacent floor slabs
- Joint width: up to 250 mm.
- Horizontal movement: up to ±125 mm.
- Vertical movement: up to ±25 mm.
- Lateral movement: up to ±50 mm.
- Load capability: 1000 kg point load.
- Fixing:
- Floor fixings (by others) to suit substrate at 450 mm centres and to achieve minimum 40 mm embedment.
- Wall fixings (by others) to suit substrate at 450 mm centres.
