Description

Cranberry Bogs substrate is a low pH (acidic) growing medium consisting of a specific blend of selected mineral aggregates, enriched with mature compost. The product has excellent water retention and high porosity. It is used as a substrate to support the growth of intensive plants which require acidic growing conditions, e.g. rhododendrons, azaleas, camellias and ericas, in green roof applications, which are individually plug planted. Deeper thicknesses can support shrubs, bushes and trees. Intensive roofs require irrigation during dry periods.

Application:

Install by loose laying directly onto the specified filter sheet or drainage layer at the recommended thickness plus a settlement factor of 1.3. Refer to Alumasc for recommended thicknesses.
