The manufacturer recommends that non-ferrous fixings (X950 pack) be incorporated at all rail joints and in horizontal beddings in all cases. All balusters are supplied with stainless steel dowels for installing to rails and plinths.
Cast stone central run-in balustrade suitable for multiple practical applications. A standard range is available, along with the 1100 balustrade. Additionally, bespoke design options are available, consult manufacturer for details.
If balustrades are to be used as a parapet wall or a raised terrace edge, several options of under-copings are available, which can be used below the plinth course to increase the height of the balustrade or to cap a substructure.
Material:
- Haddonstone (Semi-dry cast limestone):
High quality semi-dry cast stone, consisting of over 50% limestone aggregate. With a surface texture similar to Portland Stone, Haddonstone is regularly used alongside or as an alternative to natural stone.
- TecStone (wet cast limestone):
High quality wet cast stone, comprising over 60% natural limestone aggregate. Denser than the Haddonstone material, TecStone is acid etched as standard to provide an attractive appearance similar to a finished natural stone. Designed to meet demanding performance criteria, and can incorporate structural reinforcement and cast-in fixings. TecStone is the preferred material for architectural projects where structural performance is required.
Type:
- The 1100 balustrade:
A heavier balustrade designed to comply with the Building Regulation height of 1100 mm, without the addition of an under coping, required in certain instances. It includes a weathered rail, weathered plinth, Georgian-style baluster and rectangular pier.
