British grown western red cedar profiled for horizontal or vertical cladding applications.
British western red cedar cladding offers a significantly cheaper alternative to Canadian cedar. Sawn or machined to profile, British cedar cladding has frequent small to medium-sized dark knots and an amber colouring, which, if left untreated, will bleach to a silver colour. Unlike most other coniferous softwoods, British cedar does not contain any resin so can take a range of paints, oils and stains. It is available in many profiles and can be installed both horizontally and vertically. Compliant with BS EN 14915 and BS 8605-1; CE marked. Grown in England and Wales.
