Thermally modified British ash decking, produced from British grown ash logs. Brimstone ash is relatively knot free and even in colour, offering a clean and contemporary appearance. Thermal modification results in superior levels of stability and durability. Brimstone ash decking is a locally sourced alternative to tropical hardwood decks such as Ipe and Balau.. Standard product features | Length: Random lengths of 1.5-3.0 m, allowing a small percentage down to 1.5 m. Lengths of over 3.0 m may be included but are not guaranteed. Appearance: Consistent dark chocolate brown colouring with a clearly defined grain pattern. The colour can be further enhanced by the application of a clear oil such as Osmo UV-resistant oil. Relatively knot free. It weathers to a silver grey colour more quickly than non-modified timber. Small surface cracks may appear during dry periods. Technical properties:

Product Options | Fixing: Face fixed with stainless steel screws, or with a secret fixing system such as Sihga DielenFix. Secret fixing systems that require edge grooves are not recommended.
