Size (l x w x h):

250 x 500 x 200 mm.

Foundation:

Typically; a 900 x 300 mm reinforced concrete strip with 100 mm deep haunch to front and rear of first course.

Wall:

Blocks manufactured from machine pressed and vibrated concrete based upon a 50Nmm² compressive strength mix.

Blocks dry laid with interlocking lugs setting the wall to an angle of 15° from vertical. Each unit is infilled with soil as each course proceeds and backfilled with a free draining low fines granular backfill.

Design may incorporate a structural backfill of pre-determined width, featuring Betonap geo-grid layers positioned horizontally across backfill and rear of block to form a composite mass wall.

Drainage:

Line retained face with a geo-textile and incorporate a perforated coil drain to the heel of the first course.
