ASF 102 Recycled Cast Iron Bollard

We would guess that this bollard design exists somewhere in every town or city in the UK. Taken from the ever popular cannon design, but with a more decorative top and pleasing tapered lines, this bollard is the go to style for cast iron bollards. ASF hold their own original pattern for this design of bollard.

Usually manufactured in 100% recycled cast iron, made by melting down used vehicle brake discs, these bollards offer excellent strength with the unmatched longevity of cast iron - even if left unpainted they should last in excess of 100 years. Painted and maintained they will last in perpetuity.

Also available in ductile SG iron for areas of a high risk of impact, ASF can cast these bollards in a grade of material unmatched in yield strength by any metal other than tungsten.

ASF can also manufacture these bollards in aluminium, offering a nominal 66% weight saving, ideal for folding or lift out options.

The collar below the feature cap is ideal for a painted band in a contrasting colour, or to host a retro reflective band. The decorative bollard rings can also be picked out in contrasting colours (often gold) if desired.

Bollards can be adapted to host rails or chains to make barrier systems, or have a steel / stainless steel 'hoop' added to become cycle stands, door barriers etc.

As standard these bollards are supplied for root fixing - casting directly into the ground, but ASF also have a baseplate version and further options to make them removable (lift out) or to fold down into a trough below ground level.

Logos, coats of arms and lettering can be added.
