Suitable for fixing all types of ceramic tiles in external and internal situations, including swimming pools.

Description

ARDEX X 77 W S MICROTEC is a white cement-based flexible fibre reinforced rapid setting adhesive. ARDEX X 77 WS will adhere strongly to most construction materials although it must be used with ARDEX P51 Primer when fixing to plaster and ARDEX P82 when fixing to smooth impervious surfaces including existing ceramic tiling, internal asphalt, terrazzo, sound and well adhered paint coatings and old adhesive residues. ARDEX P4 - Solvent free rapid drying primer, applied to concrete, screeds, terrazzo and ceramic tiles and can be used externally.

Features and benefits:

It has been formulated to allow the fixing of fully vitrified tiles and those with low porosity without the need of an admixture.
Grouting can be commenced after 1½ hours at 20°C.

Fixing	Guidance for specification option: The mixed mortar is applied to the prepared surface with a trowel and then combed through with a suitably sized notched trowel in straight ribs to give a ribbed mortar bed. The tiles should be fixed within the open time of the applied adhesive and pressed into place with a twisting and sliding action to achieve the required contact. For tiling to walls in dry internal locations the adhesive contact should be such that maximum practical contact between the tile and the adhesive is achieved.
