Intumescent water based acrylic sealant to ISO 11600.
A fire-retardant, water-based acrylic sealant, suitable for perimeter sealing of fire resisting timber, galvanized or polyester powder coated frames.
Not recommended for external use.
Fair resistance to most alkalis and dilute acids; poor resistance to hydrocarbon solvents.
When subjected to flame, the sealant will intumesce (expand and char), thus blocking the passage of smoke.
Can be painted with emulsion and gloss paints.
Correctly applied, the sealant should not require maintenance, and has an anticipated life in excess of 20 years.
