Pre-finished, aluminium insulated spandrel panels bonded with a specially developed adhesive, which achieve a high level of fire performance, independently certified by Warringtonfire to A2-s1, d0.
Application
The panel is suitable for installation into most curtain walling systems and typically used at floor level, at column positions and other locations.
Field of application:
- Construction applications applied over any substrate with a minimum density of 870 kg/m³, having a minimum thickness of 12 mm and fire performance of A2-s1, d0 or better.
- Is intended for use as part of a curtain walling system.
- Does not affect the performance of the curtain walling system as tested.
- Airgap details – 40 mm minimum.
- Any deviation from the above should be approved by the Project Fire Engineer.
Description
Speedpanel A2 Aluminium is a composite, insulated non-vision, glaze-in spandrel panel which achieves an A2-s1, d0 classification to EN 13501-1:2018.
Features and benefits:
- Independently certified to an A2-s1, d0 fire rating by Warrington Fire.
- Designed to be compatible with most curtain walling systems, it can be manufactured with various overall edge and rebate sizes.
- Speedpanel A2 does not alter the weatherproof properties of the curtain walling system.
- All materials other than adhesives, used in the construction of the panels can be recycled at end of life.
- All packaging used in storage and transportation can be returned to the manufacture for reuse/recycling by arrangement.
