8000 Series Access Panel
Description

The 8000 Series is a range of access panels designed to accept a tiled finish up to a maximum thickness of 13mm, ideal for use in kitchens, bathrooms, or shower rooms where discrete access to services is required. All panels are manufactured to order and can be designed to suit the specified tile module.

The Tiled Frame (TF) option gives a fully concealed finish, and is generally used when full, uncut tiles are to be applied to the face of the panel. The Exposed Edge Frame (EEF) design is more suitable in instances where tiles are going to be cut to fit within the door tray.

Features:

  • 1.5 mm zintec steel frame.
  • 1.5 mm zintec steel door tray, lined with suitable backer board.
  • Full rubber EPDM seal.
  • Fire tested up to 1 hour to BS EN 1634-1:2000.
  • Rw 30 dB acoustic performance as standard.
  • 75 mm overall frame depth.
  • Powder coated RAL 9010 matt.

Product Options

Size:

Panels are manufactured to order. With Tiled Frame (TF) panels, specified sizes refer to the actual door leaf size. Sizes should be calculated using the Tiled Door Specification Sheet. Exposed Edge Frame (EEF) sizes refer to the overall frame size.

Lock type:

  • Budget lock: operated by an 8mm square drive key.
  • Push catch: push to open, push to close operation for a completely flush finish.
  • Security lock: operated by a castellated key for better security.

Frame type:

  • Tiled Frame (TF): To be installed into walls which haven’t yet been tiled, to give a fully concealed finish. Ideal for use when full tiles are applied to the door face, with the gaps between frame and door lining through with grout lines on the surrounding wall.
  • Exposed Edge Frame (EEF): Suitable for use when tiles are being cut to fit within the panel, or when access is required into a wall which has already been tiled. Cut edges of tiles are concealed by the perimeter of the door or frame.
