Description

Mayplas 531 Foil Faced Glass Fibre Roll is designed for use in thermal and acoustic applications where additional tear strength and a high efficiency vapour barrier are required. The foil facing forms a vapour barrier to DIN 53122 and is usually placed on the warm side of the structure.

Benefits:

Foil facing:

  • Foil/ Scrim/ Kraft paper laminate.
  • Vapour barrier to DIN 53122.
  • Class 1 surface spread of flame to BS EN 476-7.

Glass fibre nominal density:

  • 10 kg/m³: 60, 80, 100, 150 and 200 mm.
  • 20 kg/m³: 25, 40 and 50 mm.

Thermal resistance (R-value):

  • 25 mm: 0.75 W/m²K.
  • 50 mm: 1.51 W/m²K.
  • 60 mm: 1.35 W/m²K.
  • 80 mm: 1.80 W/m²K.
  • 100 mm: 2.25 W/m²K.
  • 150 mm: 3.40 W/m²K.
  • 170 mm: 3.85 W/m²K.
  • 200 mm: 4.50 W/m²K.

Glass fibre fire rating:

A1 as defined in BS EN 13501-1.

Acoustics:

When used for sound absorption over suspended ceilings, Mayplas 531 will typically achieve a noise reduction coefficient of 0.8 in the range 125–400 Hz.
