Spectratex geotextiles are a range of non-woven polyester geotextile isolation and protection layers.

Used to protect the Spectraplan or Armourplan waterproofing membrane on ballasted or green roof build ups and can be used as a separation layer between PVC membranes and incompatible substrates such as existing bituminous membrane roofs or polystyrene thermal insulation boards.

The Spectratex geotextiles are available in three grades – 300 gsm, 500 gsm, and 800 gsm. Heavier grades should be utilized in more onerous situations such as when overlaying an existing bituminous roof where it’s impractical to remove all of the chippings.

The Spectratex geotextiles are installed loose laid with a 150mm side and end overlap.

SIGnature VCL Torch On.

SIGnature VCL is a high performance vapour control layer for use in the SIGnature BUR systems. It comprises an impervious aluminium core, reinforced with polyester and coated with a quick melt SBS modified bitumen. The lower surface has a sacrificial film which rapidly melts during the torching operation.

SIGnature VCL Self-Adhesive.

SIGnature Self-Adhesive VCL is a high performance vapour control layer for use in the SIGnature BUR systems as a cold applied option. It is composed of a polyester reinforced aluminium core, coated with a rubber modified, self-adhesive bitumen coating. The membrane is protected on the underside with a release film backing and coated on the top surface with a fine mineral finish. A minimum selfedge of

75 mm width, protected with release film, provides a quick means of completing side laps.

IKOpro Systems bonding agent.

IKOpro Systems Bonding Agent (black) is a specially formulated primer. Enhancing the properties of self- adhesive bitumen roofing membranes, it promotes strong bonds even at temperatures as low as 5°C.

IKOpro Sprayfast MPP (Black, Multipurpose Primer) is a

specially formulated high performance bonding primer,

delivered and applied via the delivery system below.

It allows the speed of application of the bonding primer

to be five times faster than conventional bitumen primers,

promoting strong bonds at temperatures as low as

5°C.

Enertherm ALU.

IKO enertherm ALU is a 100 % CFC, HCFC or HFC-free insulation board with a rigid polyisocyanurate foam core, clad on both sides with a multi-layer gastight aluminium complex. This high-quality reflecting ALU cladding consists of no fewer than seven layers, combined into a single complex. It is tested under extreme conditions in respect of water absorption, mechanical properties, corrosion resistance and emissivity. Consult literature for further details and insert requirements.

IKOpro High Performance PU.

IKOpro High Performance PU Adhesive is a green high performance moisture cured single part, polyurethane adhesive. It is cold applied and allows the safe and rapid bonding of suitable insulation boards.

IKO Strike PVC lightning conductor clips.

IKO Strike PVC lightning conductor clips are hot air welded to the surface of an IKO Polymeric membrane roof at 1 m centers

The IKO Strike clip is a combination of a high quality rigid plastic clip attached to a 100 x 100 mm section of polyester reinforced membrane. Light grey in colour.

The IKO Strike clip is designed to take uncoated lightning conductor tapes with a section of 25 mm wide x 3 mm thick.

Guidance for specification option:

IKO Adjustable Paving Support Pads are designed to be used where fine adjustment in height is required in order to obtain a level paved area on a roof deck. This is normally the case where the roof has been laid to falls for drainage, or where the deck is uneven. Consult literature for details and insert requirements.

IKO Paving Support Pads incorporate spacing nibs to maintain a consistent drainage gap between pavings. They are easily divided into halves and quarters, for use at edges and corners of paved areas. IKO Paving Support Pads are primarily for use on consistent and level flat roof areas. Black in colour. 150 mm diameter x 15 mm high.

Guidance for specification option:

Steel peelstop bar, 0.8 mm thick used for securing the Armourplan or Spectraplan membrane at the perimeter of an adhered IKO polymeric roofing system.

Should be installed at the roof perimeter and at the base of upstands / penetrations using suitable IKOfix fasteners in accordance with IKO Polymeric technical guidelines.

IKO Trendy roof outlet, Vertical, is made of thermally insulated polyurethane. Yellow in colour.

Available in a range of diameters (70–125 mm, consult literature and insert requirements) to enable direct connection to pipes with push in spigot according to EN 1451-1 and EN 1124-2, for conventional gravity drainage

The IKO Trendy outlets and extension units are available with pre- fitted flanges of the appropriate waterproofing material - Armourplan, Spectraplan or Bituminous VCL to enable an effective waterproof detail.

When used with an IKO Trendy Extension Unit the outlet can provide a reliable airtight seal in conjunction with the VCL and thermal insulation up to 320 mm thick.

PVC refurb rainwater outlet

Guidance for specification option:

Pre-formed vertical drop outlets manufactured from injection moulded flexible PVC. Light grey in colour. Available in a wide range of diameters (45–128 mnm internal diameter, consult literature and insert requirements).

Can be pushed into the existing rainwater outlet or downpipe in refurbishment applications where the fins can provide a watertight seal to the inside of the existing outlet.
