DM-RAINCHECK LS 5L
Ready-for-use, breathable, colourless waterproofing liquid for limestone. It can be used on old and new buildings to protect from penetrating damp, at the same time allowing the walls to breathe.
Raincheck Plus should only be applied to dry, porous surfaces. It should not be applied over sealed or painted surfaces.
Remove all paint from surface to be treated prior to application. Raincheck Plus is intended for use above damp-proofing course level only.
Application to structures containing high levels of salt should be avoided.
Only apply Raincheck Plus when rain is not forecast for the next 24 hours. Raincheck Plus should not be applied to wet surfaces, or where it has rained in the last 24 hours.
For the treatment to be successful it is essential to check all joint and roof connections prior to application.
Although hairline cracks up to 0.3 mm can be ‘bridged’ by Raincheck Plus, it may be necessary to fill cracks in brick/ stonework and to repoint using a suitable sand/lime or sand/ cement mortar incorporating Stormdry Repointing Additive No.1 or Stormdry Repointing Additive No.2.
Dirty surfaces should be cleaned before the application of Raincheck Plus to the recommendations given in BS8221 - 1:2000, “Code of practice for cleaning sand surface repair of buildings. Cleaning of natural stones, brick, terracotta and concrete.” DO NOT USE DETERGENTS.
When biological growth such as moss, algae or lichen needs to be removed, apply SoluGuard Ready for Use Multi-Surface Biocide in accordance with instructions.
Wooden and metal window/door frames and glass surfaces should be covered up before treatment, since removal of silicone resin splashes after drying can be very difficult. Splashes should be removed as soon as possible using soapy water or, if necessary, a solvent. Due to the fast curing rate of Raincheck Plus, splashes will be difficult to remove, even after just a few hours.
A colourless water repellent for limestone, based on UV resistant silane-siloxane resins. The composition allows the water repellent material to bond to the carbonates in limestone. Raincheck LS can be used on old and new buildings to protect against penetrating damp. The product is suitable for the treatment of absorbent limestone, rather than less absorbent dense limestone.
